History of Quemahoning Dam
On November 17, 1910 the waters of Quemahoning Creek were appropriated by the Manufacturers Water Company,a subsidiary of Bethlehem Steel, and the construction of the Quemahoning Dam was started. The dam and the 66-inch pipe line were completed in 1913. The date seen on the postcard was the year the postcard was issued.
In 1922 Qemahoming Dam was the largest dam in the state of Pennsylvania
